So, if this has whetted your appetite and you are planning to come, the evening and the supper menu form are enclosed, and I would be most grateful if you could please fill out the form, as I need to know the numbers for the supper, and return to me by 15th February at the latest with the appropriate cheque.

Please also don't forget to bring photos with you for our Photographic Competition ­ there will be prizes for the best judged, and also prizes for our unique and popular Solent AGM draw.

Details of the Yarmouth Old Gaffers Festival will be sent out in the April newsletter, but if you are intending to come, please can you either let me know by email, giving your name and boat, or return the enclosed slip to me so that we can give the organisers a feel for the numbers likely to attend. Please note: You will still need to enter formally in due course.

This year, Vanessa, who usually organises the Chichester Rally, will be busy with a very young gaffer, and would welcome some help, ideally from those members who live and or sail from the Chichester harbour area, and if you are able to give a small amount of your time, please can you contact me or Vanessa.

Finally, can I remind you about our local area pub evenings taking place at Emsworth or Southampton or on the island at the Folly Inn. In the depths of winter it's a bit of an effort to go out in the evening but it is great to keep in touch with the local members over a pint or two.
