Cornish Trader built in solid GRP by the Cornish Company in 1979. 3 owners. LOA 40’, LOD 30’9’’, Beam 9’6’’, Gaff rigged Ketch with bilge keel, centreplate and retractable bowspirit. Lovely solid and seaworthy boat which is much admired, with Mainsail, Topsail, Mizzen main, Staysail, Yankee and Furling Genoa. Standing rigging overhauled and new running rigging in 2005. Has six berths in 2 cabins and separate heads compartment with Jabsco head, basin, storage and wet hanging locker. 20hp Yanmar diesel engine. Over 6 foot standing headroom in saloon and lots of space for storage down below and in two large lazarette lockers on deck. Galley has paraffin oven and 2 hob rings, sink and storage. Taylors paraffin heater and 2 paraffin lamps in saloon as well as electric lighting throughout. Varnished wooden spars, capping rail, belting and coming. Currently renewing fuse board and building new wooden cockpit floor.
