After supper Tom directed our ‘heads and tails’ raffle to win some anti fouling paint and we also had a raffle for jackets and shirts kindly donated by Musto, and other useful items from Andark.
The speaker for the evening was Dick Durham, from Yachting Monthly, who gave us a talk about sailing on the East Coast, illustrated by very interesting photographs of the weird and extraordinary features standing in of the water along the coastline.
Brian Hammett gave the vote of thanks for us and also took the opportunity to give out his alternative weather report, which kept us all very amused.
The photograph competition this year was judged by Julia Beckett, and was won by Dave Moore, the photo being an evocative picture of early morning mist with gaffers drifting on our start line of the 2007 Annual Race.

Just to say that we really would love to see lots of the smaller gaffers and trailer sailors joining us there. It is such an ideal place, and this year its also the longest day, even better to make use of having a bit of fun at Bucklers Hard in the evening.
